It’s so easy to take your energy for granted, until it starts to run out. If you’ve experienced burnout you know just how horrible that is. It’s the strangest feeling not to have any motivation or enthusiasm for anything and to need to rest almost all the time. I did it twice in my earlier life – thankfully never again.
When I started learning about energy it wasn’t something people ever talked about. I spent 22 years training with Chinese Masters to learn all about it and to find keys to this extraordinarily precious part of life and it feels sad to me that as a culture we’re still so ignorant of the importance of taking care of it.
If I look back now after 30 years of experience, there are a few things that stand out to me that I would love to share with everyone.
1. The power of daily relaxation to recharge, rebalance and sustain your energy levels
Relaxing opens up the energy channels in your body so more energy flows through them. It’s an instant recharge if you know how to relax well. If you do it every day, it balances you naturally and effortlessly and over time you can sustain your energy levels to become remarkably consistent. This is hugely valuable if you’re in a high performance environment or run a business.
2. The connection between your vision and your energy
People who have a big vision are supplied with the energy to reach that vision. If you have a very limited vision, you only receive limited energy. This is a general principle of life. It means that people with bigger visions get bigger opportunities. There’s no requirement to have a big vision. It’s a personal choice, but it’s worth knowing this. Sometimes people feel frustrated because they struggle to achieve good results in their business, but their vision is quite small. They literally don’t have the energy to get the results they want. They can change it by expanding their vision.
3. The connection between your energy and your health
Most people think about health as being an entirely physical phenomenon. As a result we have a medical system that provides physical solutions – medicine, surgery, physical therapies etc. In my experience, the vast majority of sickness, and especially chronic sickness of any form, is very much influenced by your energy. If you have strong energy your immune system will be strong enough to ward off most sickness and heal the rest with ease. If your energy is weak, it’s easy to become sick and harder to heal. That’s why people who take of their energy are also taking care of their health.
It’s worth taking a moment to reflect on your personal understanding of energy and the role it plays in your life.
Do you understand what energy is, where it comes from and how to manage it?
Do you know what you can do if your energy levels are low at the moment?
Do you know what causes burnout and how to prevent it?
Do you do something to take care of your energy every day?
Are you aware of how to increase your energy level and feel very alive every day?
If you want to learn more about energy, I invite you to join a free online show called Energy Empowerment Masterclass: Top Tools for Women in Power to Double Their Energy for Clarity, Peak Performance & Optimum Health.
It gives you a video interview with a different expert each day, and they all approach energy from a different angle, including food, movement, mindset, pleasure, and better energetic alignment. It’s all free and each expert offers you a gift at the end of their interview. From what I’ve seen, it’s very rich in content.
I’ve also recorded an interview as part of the series, so look for it if you want to know more about what I learned from so many years with the Chinese Masters.
