The Simplest Way I’ve Ever Found To Understand How Money Works

Imagine you are the Director in charge of the entire money system on Earth. This is not a human role. You are the Director of the energy systems that lie behind our financial and economic systems and behind every financial transaction on the planet.

As Director, you are in charge of a vast organisation of subtle beings, like a bureaucracy in the sky. As a team, these beings carry out all the movement of money across the planet at an energetic level. They track every human thought or feeling that has any financial implication whatsoever. They are responsible for fulfilling the wishes of human beings from the most personal to the most global – even the design of global money systems.

Your department follows strict rules that cannot be broken. The number one rule is that you have to respect and precisely follow the expressed intentions of every human. Humans express their intentions through thoughts, feelings, and words, sometimes consciously, sometimes subconsciously. Each thought/feeling combination, each word spoken, each expectation held in mind, is an instruction to your department that has to be fulfilled.

Another way to view your department is as an online store. Through thoughts, feelings, wishes and intentions, goals and ambitions, conversations and journals, humans are ordering their future. Like anything they order online, they don’t know exactly what they’re getting in all details, but they know enough to request a specific item.

Humans need to fulfil various conditions for the order to be successful. They must specify the number of items, sometimes the colour or size, the speed and cost of delivery, and the delivery address. To complete their part of the transaction, they must also pay the correct amount.

At this point the store must prepare the item for delivery. It needs to record the order precisely, track its fulfillment at every stage, and provide support if anything goes wrong. The product may need to be constructed or assembled or sourced from elsewhere. It needs to be packed up safely, addressed correctly, and handed over to the courier or postal system. Then it goes on a journey, possibly involving several other companies and modes of travel until it reaches the local delivery system.

At this point the person who ordered the item needs to get involved again – either by receiving the delivery directly, or having a letterbox where it can be left. If they’re not at the address, or they give the incorrect address, or they fail to open the door to the delivery person, or they fail to pick up their item from the post office, they never receive it.

And once they have their item in their hands it’s time to check whether it’s what they really wanted and whether it works or fits correctly. Then they can use it and appreciate it, or return it and start all over again.

Human wishes work in a similar way. If you have a wish for anything, from an amount of cash to an experience to a new opportunity to a new person you’d love to meet (the range of wishes is unlimited), your wish immediately connects you with the “money system,” which is the delivery system of human wishes.

Whatever you wish for is your order. The feelings about what you wish for are the specifications for the details of your order, like the size and colour. There is a moment when a wish is launched into the system – and that’s when the order is confirmed and recorded for fulfilment.

Then the money delivery system takes over and arranges all the circumstances surrounding your life so that your wish can be fulfilled precisely as you specified. It’s up to you to receive what you’ve ordered. If you’re too closed or too busy elsewhere, it’s like having a locked door and no letterbox. Even though the order is being delivered, you never get to experience it yourself. But assuming you’re willing to receive it, you do experience your wish being fulfilled and it’s time to see if it’s really what you wanted. If it is, you can enjoy and appreciate it. If not, you may need to start all over again with a new, improved wish.

As Director of this entire system, you can access any record at any time, look at any order to see how it’s being fulfilled, and see exactly what’s working well or badly in the system. You can see who your happy customers are and which ones are dissatisfied. You can observe exactly what’s going on at any moment, anywhere on the planet.

Try this exercise to understand how money is working in your life. Take a little time to get into a relaxed state and then, as Director, have a look at you, as a human being. Look at the wishes you are expressing in your human life through your thoughts, feelings, and conversations. Look for thoughts like this: “I’d love to ……” “ I really want……” “I need to …….” There are many different variations.

Now have a look at the feelings that condition those requests. For example: “I need…..but I can’t afford it”. “I’d love to …..and I’m hoping it will come soon.” “When am I going to be able to……it feels like it’s taking forever”. “I really want……so I’m going to make it happen”.

As Director, the job of your department is to deliver those wishes, with those conditions, precisely. So for example, “I need…..but I can’t afford it” is an instruction from the human you to the Director to make sure you’re in a place of needing something……and of not being able to afford it. Your department has to deliver exactly that experience.

In the example, “I really want……so I’m going to make it happen”, your department will deliver the experience that the human has to make certain things happen to receive the fulfillment of the wish. Contrast that with a similar request: “I really want……to come easily”. It’s the same wish but with different delivery instructions.

Imagine what your department has to do to fulfil each human wish precisely. And then imagine what the department has to do to fulfil your own personal human wishes just as precisely.

Through this simple exercise, you’ll  see a map of your human financial experience laid out in front of you. You’ll understand exactly why your money and other circumstances are showing up precisely as they are. And you’ll more clearly see how to be more precise with your wishes so that the great money department can fulfil them in a way you enjoy more.

And just for fun, as Director, ask yourself what your department needs to do to fulfil these unfortunately popular requests:

  • I’ll never keep up with my bills.
  • I’m going to pay my debts off little by little every month.
  • I’d love that car but I can’t afford it.
  • I believe that my coaching sessions are worth $350 per hour, but no one will ever pay that much.
  • I’m worried that there will be a market crash and I’ll lose my investments.
  • When am I going to be able to travel as part of my work? I’m going to start next year.
  • When am I going to be able to travel as part of my work? I just can’t see any way that’s going to be possible.

The money system is more subtle and nuanced than as I’ve described it here. But for our purposes, this description isn’t far off. And you probably can see by now that this isn’t just about money. It’s about how life materialises. That’s powerful stuff.
