Leaders who care about others and ignore their own needs

Hands holding planet

One of the biggest issues I see among business owners and leaders who genuinely care about people and planet is that you ignore your personal challenges and problems.

You work so hard to make life better for others that you don’t have time or energy to pay proper attention to what’s going on in your own life.

The sad thing is that this means you end up not having the vitality, energy and capacity you need to achieve success and fulfilment in your personal mission or goals.

You feel increasingly disconnected from yourself, as if you’re not fully alive, and that makes you feel disconnected from other people too.

It’s ironic because the very thing you truly believe in for others is where you struggle most for yourself.

What people don’t realise is that their personal challenges are the key to their success, not the blockage. When you discover how to fully face and overcome the problems that appear to hold you back, you open up the pathway to true success combined with deep fulfilment.

You no longer override your own need for love, connection and enjoyment. You pay attention to your close relationships, especially when they start to feel fragile. You bring your full self to your children, even when you feel short of time. And you give to yourself generously what you give to others generously.

Then you open up the true wealth of your life. You’re more open to the flow of money. You value your time and create more value with it. Your business and personal relationships become more rewarding. And you make wiser decisions.
