It’s easy to think that your life needs to be going well if you want to experience WELLBEING. It’s also easy to think when your life’s not going well, that’s the reason why you’re not experiencing any WELLBEING. Of course, there’s a trap here, because you keep looking at your life and saying, “It’s not good. It’s not working. It’s not what I want.” And then you don’t feel good about it.
I had a beautiful conversation with Niko, my husband, a few weeks ago, and he talked about dissatisfaction. He described how when he’s dissatisfied, he becomes angry to release the dissatisfaction, and how important it is so he can come to a point where he can be creative again. But he observed that he can never create when he’s dissatisfied. He needs to be satisfied to be creative. He needs to be experiencing WELLBEING.
What I’m experiencing is that it doesn’t matter what’s going on in my life, I can always come to the Well of Being because it’s here. It’s in me. It’s in everything. It’s in every part of life. And I’m never away from it. I just forget. I don’t pay attention to it.
When you come to the Well of Being, even if there are things wrong with your life, you can experience WELLBEING. It feeds into your life and feeds into you and starts to resolve the things that are feeling wrong. This means you can experience WELLBEING when things are not going well. It’s also the answer to how you make things go better.
