That’s what I used to believe. I knew it was energy, but I never stopped to think about it at a deeper level.
When I wrote the book, Love Money, Money Loves You, I discovered, to my complete surprise, that money isn’t neutral at all. It’s an energy that comes from love and supports us to connect with each other and open up our creativity.
It turned out that it’s here to help us find fulfilment, experience joy and thrive in our relationships. I found that exploring the true nature of money opened me up to my soul’s purpose more deeply than any practice or training I’d done in the previous 20 years.
Most people avoid the topic of money, whether they have a lot of it or not, because they don’t want to confront the issues and feelings they have about it, for example fear, guilt or shame. But that’s avoiding a relationship that’s with you wherever you are, is never going away and has the potential to bring you a lot of joy.
