If you’d love to be calm and peaceful instead of worried or anxious, it’s quite simple to learn. It takes practice, of course, but it’s so worthwhile because it’s a skill you can use for the rest of your life.

I use a very simple formula to get started.

worried or anxious = stressed

calm and peaceful = relaxed

stressed = not relaxed

relaxed = not stressed

The key to overcoming worry and anxiety is to be able to relax. 

Most people think they already know how to relax because they do it on holiday or at the weekend or they have a meditation practice. However, this doesn’t necessarily keep you relaxed in all situations. If you’re experiencing anxiety or excess worry, it’s time to learn a better way to relax.

You need to learn a way of relaxing that will help you in every situation. My clients consistently report that they’re amazed how calm they feel even in the middle of a crisis. They say they don’t worry about money, even when the circumstances are very challenging. 

This enables them to face their challenges with clarity and openness and make much better decisions as a result. The long-term consequence is a more successful business, a more positive impact and a happier family.
