The Unsung Heroes of This Age

065. The Unsung Heroes Of This Age

It’s possibly the hero’s quest of our time. The quest for meaning in a world that appears to have gone crazy.

If you’re one of those people who gets up everyday facing your own demons and struggling with purposelessness, pointlessness and hopelessness, I want to say thank you.

You’re doing something for all of us that many people don’t have the courage to face. Essentially, depression is a search for meaning beyond day to day survival. It’s a challenge to the way we’re currently living, which is out of balance with ourselves, our society and our environment.

It’s become a battleground, where the fight is for the future. If you’re depressed you’ve seen through the facade many people are living behind and you’re looking for something that feels more true, right or on track.

I want to thank you for being willing to look for a new level of meaning.

You may not feel you were that willing. It’s more like you were pushed or forced into it.

My perception is that a significant part of your life mission is to help give birth to the new values, purpose and direction of human life. Someone needs to do this work for all of us. Others are making different contributions, for which we can say thank you too.

Never forget, your mission is critical. Its success will assure our success.
